  1. I stopped regularly washing my hair in high school because it reduced my curly locks to a frizzy rat’s nest. Result: four years of ponie tails and lost pencils (my hair ate them; we still don’t know where they went). My friends were actually afraid of my hair - that’s how bad it was. And by fear I mean “Don’t touch Michelle’s hair, it bites.” And it did.

Now I shampoo whenever it needs it, every two to four weeks. The rest of the time I give my scalp a thorough scrub and rinse in the shower. I also put coconut oil in my hair and it’s perfect! It’s light weight, doesn’t get on my clothes or pillow, and I’ve been frizz-free ever since.

  3. oh great, let me build up toxins in my hair for me to breathe in even deeper
