Olympic Torch Relay Emits 5,500 Tons of CO2

olympics, torch, China

The 2008 Olympic torch relay will cover more than 85,000 miles and visit 23 cities before reaching Beijing. Covering that kind of ground (and ocean) will require the help of Air China, burning an estimated 464,400 gallons of fuel and emitting 5,500 tons of carbon dioxide in the process.

  1. So what?

Why don’t you try finding your own story instead of repeating someone else’s?

Oh, right, you’re a lazy ass blogger, my mistake.

  2. Wow, all that waste for what sport? reminds me of how lame our society is, i mean look at how much our sports stars makes? and yet we still have children dying of starvation, maybe we should start glorifying our athletics so much, and start glorifying our failures as a society’s, i guess its the same thing really..
