2,843 MPG Plastic Bubble Wins Eco-Marathon Race

The grand-prize winners of the 2008 Shell Eco-Marathon race (pictured above) got an astonishing 2,843 MPG. Then again, is anyone surprised that a plastic canopy hooked to an engine got pretty good gas mileage?

  1. Its funny to see shell backing such a competition… It would be better placed to move to competing in making vehicles run on something other than gosoline, petrol or deisel… but that does not quite fit with where Shell or any of the other oil giants make thier money…!
