Turning Waste into Garden Gold

written by EcoScraps Staff

EcoScraps has developed a “closed-loop” waste solution by turning food waste from restaurants and grocery stores into organic compost and other garden products, and then selling it back to stores to sell in their gardening departments.

California is one of four states producing EcoScraps’ nutrient-rich organic gardening products; they are sold at Home Depot, Target and traveling shows for Costco.

A 1-cubic-foot bag of EcoScraps White Compost Mix retails for about $6.
